# Your profile and logging out

> How to view your profile and sign out of the FieldPal app.

## Step 1: Tap the Profile icon

In the left sidebar, tap the **Profile** icon.

## Step 2: Tap Log out

On the profile page, tap **Log out**. You will be returned to the login screen.

<Tip>
  Always log out before handing a shared device to the next person, especially on shared RealWear headsets.
</Tip>

## Tips

* After logging out, you will need your email and password (or your organisation's Google or Microsoft sign-in) to log back in. See [logging in](/app/logging-in) for the full process.
* If your device uses **Device Code Login** for shared devices, your administrator can tell you whether you need to log out at all between users.
* Logging out does not delete anything. Your reports, notes, and conversation history are saved to your account and will be there next time you log in.
