# Managing templates

> How to edit, duplicate, and delete report templates in FieldPal.

Once a template is saved, it appears in the **Report templates** list in the dashboard. From there you can edit, duplicate, or delete it.

## Editing a template

Click the pencil icon (✎) next to the template name to open it in the editor. Make your changes and click **Save** when done.

  Editing a template affects all future reports created from it. It does not change reports that have already been submitted.

## Duplicating a template

Click the copy icon (⎘) to create a duplicate of the template. The duplicate opens in the editor with all the same fields. Give it a new name and make any changes before saving.

Duplicating is useful when you need a similar form for a different job type or client: you can build on an existing template instead of starting from scratch.

## Deleting a template

Click the bin icon (⌫) next to a template to delete it. You will be asked to confirm before deletion.

  Deleting a template removes it from the app immediately. Field workers will no longer be able to start new reports using that template. Existing submitted reports are not affected.

## Template availability in the app

Saved templates are available to your team in the FieldPal app straight away. There is no separate publish step: saving is enough.
