This guide walks you through submitting your first report using the FieldPal mobile app. You will need the app installed and an account set up by your organisation admin.
Before you start
If you have not received an invitation or cannot log in to the app, contact your organisation admin.
Step 1: Open the app and start a conversation
Open FieldPal on your device. On the home screen, tap New conversation (or the + button).
Step 2: Choose your report type
If your organisation has more than one template, you will be asked to choose which type of report you are completing. Tap the one that matches your current job.
Step 3: Talk to the AI assistant
FieldPal is voice-first: the fastest way to complete a form is to speak naturally, the same way you would describe a job to a colleague. You do not need to answer one field at a time. A single sentence like “I’m on a blue Ford Transit, registration AB12 CDE, and the rear nearside tyre is flat” can fill several fields at once.
Tap the microphone and speak, or tap the text field to type. The assistant transcribes what you say and maps it to the right fields automatically. If it needs anything else, it will ask.
Step 4: Take any required photos
If the form includes image fields, the assistant will ask you to take a photo at the right point. Tap the camera icon when prompted, take the photo, and it will be attached to the correct field automatically.
Once all the fields are filled, the assistant will show you the completed form. Check everything looks correct. If anything needs changing, you can edit individual fields before submitting.
Step 6: Submit
Tap Submit. The report is sent to your organisation’s dashboard immediately. Your manager can view it as soon as it arrives.
What happens after submission
The report appears in the Reports section of the FieldPal dashboard. Your organisation admin or manager can view it, export it, and filter it alongside other reports from your team.
